John Reid & Sons (Strucsteel) Ltd has been recognised as one the top performing businesses in the South of England.

We’ve been named in the prestigious Solent 250 listing of privately-owned, independent businesses with the highest turnover in the region.

The Business Magazine has complied the annual table with sponsorship from HSBC UK, CMA Recruitment Group, property experts Vail Williams, law firm BDB Pitmans, Evelyn Partners and the University of Southampton Business School.

Our inclusion once again is testament to talents and commitment of all at REIDsteel who work so hard under our ‘one team’ ethos to make the business the success it is.

Merlin Entertainments topped the Solent 250 this year followed by Utilita, Hendy Group, Lush Cosmetics and Arqiva.

Cumulatively, the companies in the Solent 250 have an annual turnover of £21.2 billion. Together they employ 130,000 people.

REIDsteel hits the heights with Solent 250

John Reid & Sons (Strucsteel) Ltd has won new recognition as one of the top performing businesses in the South.

We’ve been included in the prestigious Solent 250 listing of privately-owned, independent businesses with the highest turnover in the region.

We rub shoulders with such names as Sunseeker, Fat Face. Southampton FC, Trant, AFC Bournemouth and Wightlink in the ratings.

The Business Magazine has published the Solent 250 rankings with CMA Recruitment Group, HSBC UK, Irwin Mitchell, RSM, Vail Williams, the University of Southampton Business School.

We’ve risen 80 places to number 152 in this year’s listings, which is testament to the ‘one team’ ethos of all at REIDsteel who together work so hard to make the business the success it is.

Smart energy experts Utilita of Chandlers Ford topped the table, followed by the Hendy Group and Arqiva.

This latest recognition comes hot on the heels of our success in the Structural Steel Design Awards – making it a brilliant month for everyone at REIDsteel.

Solent 250 success

John Reid & Sons Ltd (REIDsteel) has been recognised as one of the top businesses in the Solent in new ratings out today.

The firm features in the 2021 Solent 250 listing of private, independent businesses with the highest turnover in the region.

The Business Magazine has published the rankings with HSBC, Irwin Mitchell, RSM and CMA Recruitment Group.

REIDsteel managing director Simon Boyd said: “The Solent 250 includes some of the region’s most successful and high-profile businesses.

“It is testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone at the company that REIDsteel is included among their number.

“Although we have experienced significant growth over recent years, we are not content to rest on our laurels and have ambitious plans for the future. I hope this will enable us to help make the region an even greater powerhouse than it already is.”

The Solent 250 lists the top private companies in the Solent and South Central region.

We will find out if we have claimed the International Business of the Year honour at the annual Solent 250 dinner and awards ceremony on April 2.
