John Reid & Sons Ltd (REIDsteel) has strengthened its board with a new director as it follows ambitious growth plans.
The £30m turnover business has promoted Dario Di-Felice from Head of Contracts to Contracts Director as the 130-strong company builds for the future.
Christchurch-based REIDsteel provides ‘pre-construction to completion’ services for all kinds of steel structures from design, fabrication and supply to erection – including cladding, glazing and doors where required.
Managing Director Simon Boyd said: “Dario is a superb professional who brings immense experience to the board.
“He has played a critical role in helping REIDsteel successfully negotiate the challenges brought about by the pandemic and will be indispensable as the business follows ambitious growth plans in the future.
“We’re a progressive company with a strong, dynamic and diverse board. I’m sure the rest of our directors will join me in congratulating Dario and welcoming him in his new position.”
Dario, a Chartered Construction Manager, has over 38 years of industry experience across multiple sectors – including roles at Vinci Construction, Morgan Sindall, Ballast Nedam and his own company Building […]
Simon was voted back onto the board at the chamber’s annual meeting, along with fellow directors and president Caron Khan, vice-president Tony Brown and new honorary treasurer Lesley Fox.
Simon first joined the board in March 2019 and acts on a voluntary basis as a non-exec director alongside his role as REIDsteel managing director and his many other commitments, including his membership of the Confederation of British Industry’s (CBI) manufacturing council.
REIDsteel is also a Platinum Business Partner of the chamber, which is Dorset’s leading business support organisation and the county’s voice of business. The company has also been a sponsor of the chamber-organised Dorset Business Awards.
REIDsteel has the community at its heart and is proud to support its local chamber and help it drive forward the economy.
