The stunning Mesa Hangar at Beja Airport in Portugal is taking shape, thanks to John Reid & Sons Ltd (REIDsteel).

This impressive complex extends over 9,500 sq m, including the hangar, workshops and a technical centre for larger aircraft.

It will be used by Hi Fly for maintenance of its Airbus fleet. Mesa will also provide maintenance service contracts for other airlines operating Airbus models, including the mighty A380.

We provided design and drawing services as well as the manufacture and supply of steel for the development in Portugal – including specialist doors and cladding.

It is always incredibly rewarding to see projects such as the Mesa Hangar in Portugal nearing completion, and we’re proud to have played our part in such an impressive development.

Although we are renowned for our hangars, we also provide design, drawing, fabrication and construction for a whole range of different buildings – including bridges, warehouses, automotive centres, stadia and disaster resistant structures.
