Crash Resistant Gates & Security Barriers

– tested to BSi PAS 68

crash resistant barriers and gates

REIDsteel are proud to have successfully designed and tested a range of high security, crash resistant gates and barriers to the BSi PAS 68 test specification.

DRAGON’S TEETH & GATES:

Dragons Teeth HVM barrierInitially designed for military applications, the Dragon’s Teeth design brief stated it should be easy to deploy with no foundations, simple to assemble, relatively inexpensive, and yet be highly resistant to high speed vehicle attacks.

To extend their use, we designed a range of gates to fit within the cast concrete retainers (teeth).

Then we put the Dragon’s Teeth and gates through extensive vehicular (7.5t truck) and blast testing.

The results proved that we had met the challenge and that this unique design can provide perimeter protection for any commercial operation that has vulnerable boundaries such as airports or the energy and utility sectors.

The Dragon’s Teeth & Gates have also proven popular with major events organisers, as with no need for foundations, they are ideal as a temporary and reusable perimeter protection solution.

Furthermore, we can supply covers for the Dragon’s Teeth that can be branded for sponsorship or promotional purposes.

TWIN BOLLARD MOUNTED GATES:

They can be of a more aesthetically pleasing design for the commercial market.

The largest opening of a twin leaf gate is 12m – wide enough to close off a four lane roadway.

SUMMARY:

  • Our range of security products are successfully tested to BSi PAS 68 – Impact test specifications for vehicle security barriers.
  • Variety of gate openings available – 4.5 to 12m
  • The Dragon’s Teeth system is an ideal reusable solution for major event organisers. The surface mounted system is cost effective and easy to deploy. Covers and cosmetic shrouds can be fitted to display sponsor logos or event advertising
