Compagnie Mauricienne de Textile Ltée (CMT) is a leading textile company based in Mauritius. It was established in 1986 by François Woo and Louis Lai Fat Fur, when they employed 20 people to work for their small business. Twenty years on, they now have a workforce of over 10,000 people, and they continue to grow.


In 1987, REIDsteel sent their first factory for CMT - a simple 20m by 50m by 6m portal framed steel factory building - Many more buildings have since been supplied.

In the ever improving political and military situation, southern Sudan can now share the country's oil wealth, but first must improve their infrastructure, which until recently was much undeveloped.


Using money from the oil fields and from the International Community, South Sudan is beginning to develop infrastructure projects, which includes creating around 3000km of road and over 100 road bridges.

TEC International - Malabo, Equitorial Guinea

TEC is a private company operating in Equatorial Guinea, Chad and Cameroon run by a resourceful Frenchman, Monsieur Bernard Queyroix. When the President of Equatorial Guinea wanted a big hangar for the Presidential Flight in Malabo, 88 metres by 90 metres by 20 metres, he came to us.


Monsieur Queyroix was amazed by the quick reaction, our can-do attitude and speed of shipment and erection. The client required a decorative fascia which featured non supportive steelwork sitting proud of the cladding.

Helicopter Hangar - Nouakchott, Mauritania

This helicopter hangar was constructed for Woodside Mauritania. It comprises of a 25m wide by 25m long clear span portal framed structure with 2 adjoining lean to either side. There are 5.5m outriggers on each side of the doorway, meaning doors can be rolled back to give maximum clear entry of 25m. Both the hangar doors and personnel doors

Both the hangar doors and personnel doors were manufactured by REIDsteel. The steelwork was designed and fabricated to accept a 2T overhead crane which spans the full 25m of the hangar.
