We’re aiming to inspire engineers of the future at a special event on Thursday November 22.

We’ll be among the businesses exhibiting at the Careers in Engineering event at Curtiss-Wright on the Aviation Park West at Bournemouth International Airport.

It is being held for students in Years 9 to 13, and their parents, to give an insight into the future opportunities on offer.

There will be the chance to meet and speak with existing apprentices, as well as local employers such as ourselves.

The Grange Sixth Form is leading the initiative with support from Curtiss-Wright and Christchurch and East Dorset Councils.

The event is being held from 6pm to 8.30pm and anyone interested is asked to contact the school via its website here.

As a major local employer with a workforce of more than 140 people, we have been recruiting talented young people locally and from further afield for many years.

We regularly attend university and school events to tell young people about the benefits of a career in engineering.

Earlier this year we attended the Careers and Apprentices Show held earlier this year at the Bournemouth International Centre.

We’ve also attended similar events at universities in Portsmouth and Southampton. Our design office manager John Harrison is pictured at a previous event at the University of Southampton.

We value our young employees and the outstanding contribution they make to the continuing success and growth of our business.

We’re keen to speak to any young people who would like to progress a rewarding and worthwhile career in the future with us.
