Shipping and Despatch Admin Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic Shipping & Dispatch Administrator Assistant to join our busy Shipping Office on a Part-Time basis. The successful candidate would be required to work 2 days per week on a 13 month Fixed Term Contract.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complying with all relevant Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • To receive parts lists from the drawing office, import / input data into an Excel spreadsheet to make a complete list of all parts and accessories required for each contract (the despatch inventory).
  • Prepare a loading list for each despatch consignment, listing the individual parts, bundles, crates and packages of materials for despatch in the particular consignment, and issue this loading lists to the yard personnel prior to loading.
  • At the completion of loading of each container / truck, carryout a check on the total weight of goods loaded, as marked off by the yard personnel on the green loading list, to ensure the maximum weight has not been exceeded.

QHSE Administrator

We are looking for a competent and enthusiastic QHSE Administrator with experience in a fast-paced and process driven Construction, Manufacturing or Engineering environment.

Reporting to the Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Coordinator, this role will involve audit administration in order to maintain our accreditations to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and with a view to encouraging continuous improvement across the company.

A working knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 and 45001 is beneficial.

A qualification in internal auditing would be advantageous although not essential as training would be provided for the right candidate.

Working knowledge of “Plan, Do, Check, Act” (PDCA) would also be advantageous.

Document Controller

We are looking for an enthusiastic Document Controller to join our Drawing Office team. This is a new role within our growing Company.

Reporting to the Drawing Office Director, the successful candidate will be a key member of the project team, helping to support the smooth and effective running of the department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Comply with all relevant Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Ensure that all work carried out is done safely in accordance with the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and appropriate Risk Assessments.

HR Admin Assistant

We are looking  for an enthusiastic HR/Contracts Administrator Assistant on a 13 month Fixed Term Contract to work closely with our HR/Contracts Administrator on all aspects of HR. Alongside HR duties, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to our Contracts Office team who manage our construction sites and overseas erection advisors.

The Company currently employs 120 people and has exciting growth and development plans for the future. An effective HR/Contracts Administrator Assistant is essential to helping us realise our goals.

Previous experience of HR would be advantageous but not necessary.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Complying with all relevant Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Keeping all personnel files up to date, both electronically and in hard copy.

Bid Manager / Estimator

We are looking for an enthusiastic Bid Manager / Estimator to join our expanding pre-construction department and to be involved in pricing, the preparation of quotations, assisting with securing orders and following the project through until completion.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Bid Manager / Estimator:

  • To provide pre-construction estimates and technical specifications to their existing and growing customer base.
  • To liaise and communicate with our buyer and suppliers and contractors to achieve best material prices, quality and lead-time.
  • To liaise with other department teams to obtain accurate prices and work closely with the Business Development team to negotiate final terms with customers.
  • Co-ordination and preparation of all supporting documentation required in the tender bid.
  • To maintain contact with the project until completion

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Previous experience of estimating in the construction / engineering industry or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Knowledge of Strumis software and / or steel / cladding experience is not essential but would be extremely advantageous.
