John Reid & Sons Ltd (REIDsteel) has promoted two rising stars to managerial positions at its headquarters in Christchurch, Dorset.

The 130-strong structural steel firm has appointed Megan Law as Head of Human Resources and Jo White as Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Manager in a double promotion.

Managing Director Simon Boyd said: “At REIDsteel we are strong believers in recognising excellence and promoting talented people from within.

“Megan and Jo are rising stars and have both played key roles to ensure the smooth and safe running of the company.

“My congratulations to them both on their richly deserved promotions and I am sure that they will continue to make outstanding contributions as we look forward to the future with confidence despite the coronavirus pandemic.”

Jo has worked at REIDsteel since June 2016 and was promoted from QHSE co-ordinator.

Megan, who started at the company in February 2019, has been promoted from HR/Contracts Administrator.

The double promotion comes hot on the heels of the appointment of Donna Campo as Operations Director and Simon Morgan as Financial Director.

REIDsteel is firing on all cylinders with social distancing and safety measures in place after a brief suspension at the peak of the pandemic in the UK in April.

The 101-year-old company specialises in providing entire steel frame and building envelope solutions all under one roof – including its manufacturing facility – in Christchurch, Dorset.

Thanks to its in-house capabilities and expertise, it is regularly contracted to design, manufacture and supply complete steel structures including the cladding, glazing, louvres and staircases for projects anywhere in the UK, Europe and across the world.

They include advanced aircraft hangars, bridges, hospitals, sports stadia, disaster resilient buildings, defensive structures, churches, schools, industrial & commercial buildings, and warehouses.
